Sensex Market Opening Bell -- 16 Oct 2015

The 30-share index was trading at 26,988, down 21 points or 0.08 per cent. It touched a high of 27,010.14 and a low of 27,062.80 in morning trade. 

                     

The Nifty50 was at 8,169.45, down 10 points or 0.12 per cent. It touched a high of 8,196.20 and a low of 8,167.05 in the first 30 minutes of trade. The S&P BSE Midcap Index was up 0.16 per cent and BSE S&P Smallcap Index edged higher by 0.30 per cent. Tata MotorsBSE 1.46 % (up 2.4 per cent), SBI (up 0.7 per cent), TCS (up 0.68 per cent), and Wipro (up 0.6 per cent) were among the major Sensex gainers. Bharti Airtel (down 2.4 per cent), Axis Bank (down 1.08 per cent), Coal India (down 1.04 per cent), and Lupin (down 1.01 per cent) were among the major Sensex losers.
