Sun Pharma, Cipla, Dr Reddy's Labs, Tata Motors and Tata Steel are gainers while Infosys, ICICI Bank, ITC, Coal India and Maruti are losers in the Sensex.
The market has opened flat on Tuesday. The Sensex is up 1.03 points at 25736.93 and the Nifty is down 4.80 points at 7829.65. About 441 shares have advanced, 142 shares declined, and 45 shares are unchanged. Sun Pharma, Cipla, Dr Reddy's Labs, Tata Motors and Tata Steel are gainers while Infosys, ICICI Bank, ITC, Coal India and Maruti are losers in the Sensex.
The 30-share index was trading at 25,703, down 32 points or 0.12 per cent. It touched a high of 25,736.93 and a low of 25,691.50 in morning trade.
The Nifty50 was at 7,821 down 13 points or 0.16 per cent. It touched a high of 7,831.05 and a low of 7,817.20 in the first 30 minutes of trade.
The S&P BSE Midcap Index was up 0.25 per cent and BSE S&P Smallcap Index was trading 0.35 per cent higher.
Sun Pharma (up 1.8 per cent), Tata Steel (up 0.87 per cent), SBI (up 0.70 per cent), and Dr Reddy's Laboratories (up 0.67 per cent) were among the major Sensex gainers.
Infosys (down 0.74 per cent), Coal India (down 0.6 per cent), M&M (down 0.56 per cent), and ITC (down 0.52 per cent) were among the major Sensex losers.
